This past year, the fire department has ordered and took delivery of a 2009 KME Predator Panther engine.  The cost of this truck came in at $249,000.  We also invested another $45,000 for hose, breathing apparatus and other equipment needed to operate the new truck.  This truck is currently our first due truck, replacing our 32 year old Mack.  This new truck is also going to be certified to assist in medical emergencies with the Ambulance Corps.

This truck was funded by everyone’s generous donations and the hard work of your firefighters with assorted fund raising events throughout the year.

As many of you have received our fund drive letters in the mail recently, it is these tax deductible donations that keep the Fire Company operating.  As we all have seen, the economy is affecting everyone.  It is also affecting the fire department.  So please help us so that we can continue to help you.  If you cannot afford any donation, please fill out and send back the response form in the self-addressed envelope.  This will help us with valuable information that will assist the fire department in the need of an emergency.

The fire department always has a need for volunteers.  If you would be interested in volunteering at the fire department as a driver, firefighter, fire police, or just to help us out in anyway, please call 610-966-3535 or stop by the fire house any Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. or Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. for more information.

 Social Hall

We at the Alburtis Fire Company hope everyone had a joyous holiday season.  Please stop by and visit our establishment for good town socialization and refreshments.  There are also scheduled events on most Friday nights for everyone’s entertainment ranging from Karaoke, DJ’s and live bands.  All proceeds from the social hall help to keep the fire company in operation to better serve you.

Fire Hydrants

If there is a fire hydrant located near your property, you may want to help the Fire Department by removing the snow around it.
